What's a Fanzine?

A fanzine is a collection of creative works by fan contributors assembled into a book. Fanzines are usually accompanied by merch made by contributors, and are often unofficial projects centered around topics/themes adored by a group of fans.

What is P4P?

P4P stands for Pay For Production. As per Chinese copyright laws, fans are not allowed to earn profit from the sale of fan works based on original works like MDZS and TYK. Hence, buyers who purchase P4P works are only required to pay for the cost of production. TREASURE is a P4P project that will not earn any profit.

What happens if you earn profit?

Any profit that we earn will first be used to offset contributor compensation either in the form of a free physical copy/bundle of the zine OR a discount on contributors’ purchase of the zine. Remaining profits may be used to produce additional rewards for our buyers.

Do I need zine experience to join?

That depends on the role you’re applying for! While contributors do not require previous zine experience, it would be ideal for those applying to be moderators to have worked on zines previously.

For contributors, your acceptance for this zine will be based solely on your portfolio. Previous zine experience and follower count will not be a factor in our decision making.

Do you ship worldwide?

As of right now, there are no plans to exclude shipping to any country. However, that might change in the future depending on the costs that we’re provided with closer to sales. The list of confirmed countries will be shared during pre-orders, so do look out for that!

Can I apply for more than one position?

Yes, you may! However, depending on the number of applicants, you may only be accepted for one position as we would like to accept as many different contributors as possible.

What's a pinch hitter?

A pinch hitter is someone who replaces a contributor who has dropped out of the project. Due to the nature of their role, a pinch hitter will have less time to complete their piece. However, we will try to give our pinch hitters as much time as we can allow.
