In preparation for the live action and new season of Heaven Official's Blessings, the cover and feature article of the first edition of TREASURE will be on Hualian’s wedding. Contributors assigned to this section may decide on the content they’d like to write or draw, as long as it fits the theme.

FASHION

The possibilities for this section are endless. Delve into the mechanics of qiankun sleeves, or draw/write about our characters wearing modern hanfus. Contributors for this section are required to cover topics on fashion, be it on accessories, clothes, or any kind of wearables.

WELLNESS

If you want to draw or write about health and beauty, this section is for you. Topics that you could explore here include: traditional Chinese remedies, the latest makeup trends, popular Chinese health foods and many more. Contributors may also draw/write about matters that only exist in the world of fiction e.g. how to strengthen your golden core etc.

ARTS

The four arts are often mentioned in danmei, and where better to explore them than in a danmei culture zine? This section, however, isn’t just limited to the four arts. Contributors may cover anything related to any craft, including, but not limited to, any Chinese instruments (not limited to the guqin), the art of weapon making, the hobby of collecting weapons or paper fans etc.

DISCOVER

This section is home to anything food or travel related. Have our characters introduce scenic locations in China or let them review the latest food trends. So long as it fits the overall theme, anything goes. Contributors are also not limited to locations and foods in modern day China and have the freedom to explore the world our characters reside in e.g. introducing food found in TGCF’s ghost city – a look into Qirong’s food stall menu anyone?

Advertisements will be placed throughout the zine to break up the different sections. Artists who are assigned to advertisements will produce either a spread or a one-page ad of any character(s) of your choice endorsing products like in real print ads.

LIMITATIONS

In order to prevent contradictory information across articles, all relationships presented in the zine will be canon*. That is to say, main couples may not be split and shipped with other characters and secondary couples like Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli are to be kept as in the books. Shipping between secondary characters, within the same story or otherwise, will also not be allowed in this zine.

*This only applies to relationships in the zine. This zine exists in an alternate universe where there are no deaths, only happy endings.
